All holds will last for 72 hours (3 days) from the time the request was put in. You may ask for up to two extensions. The first will last 48 hours (2 days) and the second/final extension will grant just an extra 24 hours (1 day) before you lose your hold. After the second extension, we ask that you wait at least a week before attempting to place the hold again.
